Fall Events and ActivitiesFall is our favorite and busiest time of year here at the orchard. Lots and lots of families in central Indiana make a trip to Tuttle's a part of their families annual traditions.
Tuttle's Caramel Apple Festival is the kickoff to our fall season. Join us September 7, 2013 for a great fun filled family day on at the orchard. All of the fall activities (except for Pumpkin Patch) will be open that day. There are also special events like the make your own caramel apple station, the free caramel apple hunt, and much more! Apple Pie Baking Contest: is also held as a part of the caramel apple festival. Daily Fall Activities: there's lots to do at the orchard.
There are over 15 acres of pick your own apples at Tuttles including six great varieties that ripen throughout the season. Pick your own apples runs Monday through Saturday from the Friday before Labor Day through approximately the middle of October or while apples are still available on the trees.
Tuttle's Pick your own Sunflowers is a fun opportunity for families to gather a bouquet of sunflowers to take home. Cutters and bags for transport are provided. Open Monday through Saturday beginning September 7 until hard freeze. Cost is $1.00/stem. Variety of colors available.
Preschool and early elementary kids will find hours of endless fun in the Kid's Play Area. Mazes to explore, tractors to ride, and much more. Open Monday through Saturday from September 7 through Oct 31.
Tuttle's Agrimaze Corn Maze is a family friendly corn maze. Find your way through while learning all about pumpkins. Open Monday through Saturday from September 7 through October 31.
Find your way through 10 acres of pumpkin patches where you can pick a large variety of pumpkins right from the vine. Open Monday through Saturday from September 28 to October 31. Red wagons provided to take to the patch.
Tuttle's Observation Bee Hive is located in the greenhouse area. Watch the honey bees at work making honey. Open Monday through Sat form September 7 through Oct 31.
A couple goats and a llama come to visit us each fall for the children to view. Open Monday through Saturday from September 7 through October 31.
Take a ride in our hayride wagon around the farm. This provides families with an opportunity to take about a fifteen minute tour of the farm. Hayrides are typically pulled by antique tractors. Hayrides are offered on festival days from 11AM-5PM. Shopping and Eats: Treats to enjoy on the farm and take home.
Take some fall goodness home with you from our farm store. Find fresh pressed apple cider, a large selection of apples and apple related products along with a large selection of gourmet and country food and gift items. Tuttle's Sweet Shop is full of all your favorite fall treats including caramel apples, apple cider slushies, homemade fudge, chocolate covered pretzel rods, pumpkin muffins, and more. Open Monday through Saturday from Labor Day through December 23.
Tuttle's Grill provides a lunch option for families on festival days including hot dogs, cider cooked bratwursts, and corn on the cob. Open festival days ONLY from 11AM to 5PM. Dates: 2013 Fall Calendar
Tuttle's Festival DaysFestival Days are fall Saturdays and special event days where we open all our fall activities for families to enjoy. These days offer a festival environment with special events. During these days, the small parking lot next to the farm store will be closed to allow for special activities. Plenty of parking is available in large parking lot. Festival Days 2013: Sat, Sept 7 (Carmel Apple Festival), Sat, Sep 14, Sat, Sep 21, Sat, Sep 28, Sat, Oct 5, Sat, Oct 12, Mon, Oct 14(Columbus Day), Fri, Oct 18 (Fall Break), Sat, Oct 19, Fri, Oct 25 (Fall Break).
