What is the Tuttle’s Produce Tote Program?
The tote program is designed to give families the opportunity to get a weekly (or biweekly in winter) box of the best of what’s currently in season at Tuttles. Somewhat like a CSA, this program allows a family to sign up for a box of produce and other goodies throughout the summer (May-Sep) or winter seasons (Nov-Feb). The Tuttle’s tote program will include vegetables and fruits grown right here at the orchard, as well as, other high quality produce from other farms (like Indiana Strawberries, South Carolina peaches). Like a CSA, the Tuttle’s tote program provides the opportunity to invest in the farming operation at the beginning of the season and reap the benefits all season long. Tuttle’s Produce Tote members will also receive recipe sheets and ideas for using their produce. Tote members can also add other items from local farms to pickup with their tote each week.
The Tuttle’s Tote Produce Program is available for pickup at the Tuttle’s Farm Store or at a variety of Hoosier Harvest Market locations throughout central Indiana including Greenfield, New Palestine, Fishers, Indianapolis, and others.
Will I be able to choose what’s in my tote? Due to the nature of the tote program, you cannot choose what’s inside your box each week. If you are someone who wants to plan ahead and get only certain produce, we recommended you ordering individual produce items each week from our store on the Hoosier Harvest Market. These items are available to pick up at the same locations and times as the totes. If you’d like extra produce added to your tote each week, you can also add those items through the Hoosier Harvest Market.
